THE TRUTH ABOUT SLD FINANCIAL
AKA Spartan Leadership Development, Team Spartans
SLD Financial is a California corporation that was formed in December 2019 operating out of 160 S. Old Springs Road, Ste. 102, Anaheim, California 92808, with Jennifer Lee listed as the CEO and secretary. When it was first formed, it was affiliated with World Financial Group Insurance Agency (WFGIA) and Transamerica under Eric Olson’s Pinnacle Agency hierarchy. At the helm of the organization are Jesus Jose Alvidrez and Jennifer Lee, who have given themselves internal titles of CEO and COO, respectively, and also claim to be Executive Vice Chairman within the WFG organization. Lee and Alvidrez claim to have joined WFG in 2009 and built a long-lasting, multi-million dollar business using WFG’s financial services distribution platform.

Only recently on 12/18/2019, did Jennifer Lee create a new front for her operations now called SLD Financial, Inc. SLD claims to be a financial broker company, but does not have any credential to be considered a financial company.

The corporation was created in 2014 but was suspended for tax evasion.
However, the California Department of Insurance shows that the life-only insurance license for Ms. Jennifer Lee became active on December 10, 2019 although she represents that she has been licensed as an insurance agent for over 10 years.

She is currently not appointed with World Financial Group Insurance Agency, or the carriers Pacific Life or Transamerica. As of February 24, 2020, she is appointed with a competitor of WFG: Life Insurance Company of the Southwest, which is also known as National Life Group.

OCTOBER 4, 2019
While still claiming to be "EVC:, Jennifer Lee reminded everyone that you need to be licensed to see clients. However, she was not licensed during that time.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2019
Jennifer claimed to help client do a $600k rollover, while she is unlicensed.

JUNE 29, 2019
Jennifer Lee claimed to be on the field and made over $100k see clients, while she was unlicensed.
In fact, Spartan Leadership Development, SLD Financial and Jennifer Lee and Jesus Jose Alvidrez are currently the subject of multiple investigations regarding their unethical and potentially illegal business practices.

However, Lee and Alvidrez are no strangers to being the subject of investigations.
In 2018, Lee and Alvidrez’s branch office manager resigned after discovering they had been defrauding agents and clients by submitting applications with forged signatures.
On June 13, 2018, Jennifer Lee’s agent code was terminated from World Financial Group.

Despite this termination, up until this day she refers to herself as an Executive Vice Chairman in WFG, which she is not. Furthermore, the EVC title is only available to active WFG agents, which Lee is not.
In fact, Lee has not had an active life-insurance producer license since as early as 2013. Despite not having an active license or being a part of the WFG platform, Lee has continued to train licensed agents, advise clients, and submit applications for life insurance policies – under the license and WFG code of Alvidrez.

Currently, Jennifer Lee is charging her new recruits $133 for pre-licensing education and training, when other companies offer the same resources for $30 or less, or even free.

This scheme and SLD’s recruiting tactics, are described here amongst the numerous Scam Pulse and Yelp reviews written by individuals who have received texts or calls in regard to their resumes.

unlicensed agents training agents and advising clients

Diane Valdez, one of the main trainers in SLD, was seeing clients with a license that expired on 12/31/2018. As of 08/21/2020, her license was renewed.

Sergio Miranda, another one of the main trainers in SLD, was seeing clients with a license that expired on 10/31/2019. He renewed his license, active 08/04/2020.

Being the effective trainers that they are, Lee and Alvidrez have trained others in their Anaheim office to follow suit. Both Diane Valdez and Sergio Miranda have had inactive licenses for a period of over a year, only just recently re-activating their licenses. During the entire time they were unlicensed, both Valdez and Miranda represented themselves to be fully licensed, legal and ethical insurance agents – which is clearly not the truth. Like Lee, they have trained agents, advised clients, and submitted applications for life insurance policies – under the licenses and WFG codes of their spouses.
dude, where's my points?
If you attended a training or presentation in the SLD office in 2020, you likely heard about agent Ales Kopac, and the pile of 66 IULS that he is sharing with Lee. For months Lee and Alvidrez talked about all of the client meetings Lee attended with Kopac, as well as the huge sums of money and promotion that Kopac were to receive as a result. However the points never materialized on the WFG leaders bulletin, and Kopac was never recognized as receiving his $50k watch or $100k ring, occasions that are usually loudly celebrated through the entire hierarchy. Curiously, all of these indicators of Kopac’s success are missing.

The answer to this curiosity likely lies with Kopac’s own license profile. You will notice that in addition to being appointed with WFG, Kopac became appointed with Life Insurance Company of the Southwest on March 4, 2020, about a week after Lee obtained hers.

HOUSE & EVICTION
A search of the public record indicates that the personal lives of Lee and Alvidrez is seemingly full of fraud as well. Although they claim to own the multi-million-dollar home located at 19846 Trotter Lane, Yorba Linda where they invited many from their office to party and recreate, court documents from 2019 indicate that Lee and Alvidrez were never the owners of the property and that they were evicted from the mansion for failure to pay any rent at all.

MULTIPLE BANKRUPTCIES
Prior to the eviction, and while claiming to be financial gurus, in 2011 and 2015 both Lee and Alvidrez filed for bankruptcy protection, which seems unusual for two adults who claim to be successful business executives who have made millions of dollars.
